We have partnered with JYSK, a well-established international retail company, to support them in their search for an experienced District Manager responsible for the southern region of Serbia.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting Store Managers across multiple locations, driving commercial performance, ensuring operational excellence, and creating a high-performing customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing store teams, implementing business initiatives, and contributing to the continued growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
District Manager works closely with relevant stakeholders and has the following responsibilities:
Staff ready for customer in the district by securing:
- That the district is focused on maximizing sales
- Always exceeding customer expectations
- Commercial staff planning
- Great Store Management through:
- A strong pipeline at all levels
- Recruitment of result-oriented and sales-driven staff
- Following the onboarding concept in all aspects
- Continuous development and retention of the Store Managers and Store Manager Trainees
District ready for customer by securing:
- A visit to each store at least once per month
- The optimal internal organisation
- Attractive and commercial stores according to concept and guidelines
- Store readiness by the deadline for each season
- Local work environment rules and standards are followed
- Close cooperation with relevant internal stakeholders during store activities, being responsible for retail-related tasks
Optimize and initiate improvements in the district through:
- Improving performance on agreed KPIs and relevant costs
- Implementing new tools and actions from the Business Plan
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge of all retail tools and processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail or another customer-oriented environment with responsibility for multiple locations
- Experience leading and developing Store Managers and their teams
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving sales performance and achieving business targets
- Experience working with KPIs, performance analysis and implementation of improvement initiatives
- Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Valid category B driving license
