Senior Java Developer

Our client is a German-Japanese technology company specializing in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions. The company develops its own software products that help organizations manage documents, information, and business processes more efficiently. Its Belgrade team is part of the wider product development organization and works on in-house software solutions used by customers internationally.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join the AI Team and help develop cutting-edge ECM solutions. As a Senior Java Developer, you will collaborate closely with the AI team to build robust and scalable software systems. Your Java expertise and strong understanding of AI concepts will be critical to driving project success.

Requirements

Must have

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Java software development
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms – Jenkins, GitLab CI
• Experience working with Docker and containerized applications
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and deployment practices, Helm charts
• Familiarity with application monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and code quality standards
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work across both software development and DevOps

Nice to have

• Computer science/engineering graduate
• Understanding of basic Machine Learning concepts
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.)
• Exposure to high-availability and low-latency distributed systems
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
